I am new to smart switches, so please be forgiving of my knowledge of the process of setting it up. I plugged the SG200-24 switch into my Netgear WNDR4500 using port 25(switch). I was only able to access the switch via the default address of 192.168.254 instead of an address that was given by my router (DHCP). I changed the settings on the IPV4 interface page to Dynamic and tried renewing the IP address now setting.I also changed the settings under File Management/DHCP Auto Configuration to Enable Auto Configuration Via DHCP, Auto By File Extension, and saved all settings.
I rebooted the switch and router a few times, but the switch does not pull an IP address from the router. There is no internet access, and any device plugged into the switch can not see other devices on the network. I have tried a TP link switch and a basic Dlink switch and both of those are able to pull an ip address from the router using DHCP.
