sg300 lag and spanning-tree

Dear All, I have two sg300 52 ports switches, in each of them the last two ports formes a lag group with port-channel static mode in order to connect to each other with a higher bandwidth. In normal circumstances if i would connect two switch with two cabels then a loop created. If i use the port-channel with two ports on switch A and two ports on switch B, should I configure something related to spanning-tree? thank you very much

You should ALWAYS configure

You should ALWAYS configure spanning tree, even when using EtherChannel.

If you just have two switches then enable Rapid PVST and leave it default.

If you are using lots of switches, pick the route bridge appropriately and change its priority accordingly.
