sh vlans vs sh vlan-switch

Hi,

I'm playing with my Cisco 892W router and just figured out that if you create a VLAN the only way to show the vlan information is via "sh vlan-switch" command. If so what is "sh vlans" command do? On the router for "sh vlans" it says no VLANS has been configured.

Thanks in advance,
