Should IP accounting work on 3750 switch configured to route?

I have a 3750 that I'm using as a router:

"ip routing"

..and "no switchport" on the routing interfaces.

I added "ip accounting output-packets"

on both the interfaces setup for routing and ran a bunch of traffic through the device. But "show ip accounting" gives me nothing.

This seemed to work so easily on my 2821 router. Is there something about this being a switch that messes with accounting? Is there an alternative? Thanks!

Sorry, ip accounting is not supported under Catalyst switches.
