IOS command - SHOW IP ROUTE, can show route table. Only most prefered routes from route table are copied into Forwarding table, Can you people please tell what command I can use to view forwarding table.
Not sure i understand. If the route is in the routing table then it will be used for forward traffic. There are routes that are not installed in the routing table eg. routes in the EIGRP topology table that are not actually installed in the routing table, but all routes once they have been installed in the routing table are used for forwarding traffic.
Was there a specific example you were thinking of ?
