Hello
I am working with the BMC Blade Logic Network Automation (BBNA) configuration management tool. I need to create a universal rule to search show command output of all devices to find some parameter that only a switch can have vice a router, ACE, ASA, MLS et cetera. I will then put all these devices into a auto-group called "switches". What command output should I search on?
Thanks!
Matt

I am not positive but I believe all switches will have a model number that begins with "WS-C".
#sh ver | i Model number
Model number : WS-C3560-48PS-E
I don't know the OID offhand but you could also retrieve that string using an SNMP query.
