I have a C/D/A architecture. I have 2 WS-SVC-NAM-2 modules. I have one installed in my core 1 6509 switch and the other installed in my core 2 6509. I am trying to configure the module on core 1. My question is since I am routing all throughout the network how do I get the nam module to communicate. Do I have to create a vlan for the NAM module in order to get a default gateway for it. I am just trying to get simply layer 3 connectivity but I can't figure out how to set it up so it has a gateway. I put the gateway in for the NAM as the router since it is the next hop and I got an error message telling me that the IP and gateway have to be in the same subnet.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
