SLIP interface connected to POS system

I have a async slip interface off of a 819 4G router that I can not get to work with a POS, I am using the same config that a 2801 currently uses with a 2 port serial hwic (that one works fine).  Below is a snipit of my config and and debug modem output.  Please help??? The main diff between the two routers (minus the obvious) is that the 819 has an integrated 4G modem, could that be causing issues with this async interface?

config:

interface Serial0

physical-layer async

no ip address

encapsulation slip

line 7

no motd-banner

exec-timeout 0 0

no flush-at-activation

no vacant-message

modem dtr-delay 1

modem Dialin

autocommand  modemui atexxxyyy

no activation-character

transport preferred telnet

transport input telnet

escape-character NONE

dispatch-timeout 400

stopbits 1

debug modem:
