sm-es2-24 Gi0/25 Disconnecting

I have a sm-es2-24 in a 2911.  I am getting the following in syslog:

%LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface GigabitEthernet0/25, changed state to up

%LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface GigabitEthernet0/25, changed state to down

%LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface GigabitEthernet0/25, changed state to up

%LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface GigabitEthernet0/25, changed state to down

GigabitEthernet0/25 and GigabitEthernet0/26 are internal ports.

Here is the config.

Building configuration...

Current configuration : 37 bytes
!
interface GigabitEthernet0/25
end

jsc-r02#sh run int Gi0/26
Building configuration...

Current configuration : 78 bytes
!
interface GigabitEthernet0/26
switchport mode trunk
load-interval 30
end

Should GigabitEthernet0/25 have a trunk?  What does GigabitEthernet0/25 and GigabitEthernet0/26 do?

Thanks
