Hello,

I'm trying to configure some switching here. I have 2900 Router(ios ver 15.0) and put SM Module in that router.

I would like to know how to configure that Module to work as a switch?

Very Much appreciate your help!

Sincerely,

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Answer is given in step13:

Step 13

control+shift+6 x

Example:

Switch# control+shift+6 x

Returns you to the router console while keeping the console session to the switch

Keep pressing control+sift+6 and then press x key from key board

Or you can try ctrl+ccc (not sure whether this works or not)

Regards

Mahesh

Hi Jon,

I followed that doc and I can access to the switch module using command #service module gi 1/0 session

Then I reached to switch#....

From there I can use like a switch to that module. But the problem is How to get out form the switch module.

I want to go back to router login page.

Please advise.. Thanks for your help.

Sincerely,

Andrew

Big thanks Mahesh! I can get out form there.

I used ctrl+shift+6+ X and clear the line 1/0 as follow

switch# press ctrl shift 6 x

Router#sh session

          #Clear line 1/0

Cheer!

Andrew
