Smart Install Image Upgrade Failure: Director (4516-X) and client (2960c).

 

Here's the "show vstack config from the Director:

Director#show vstack config
Role: Director (SmartInstall enabled)
Vstack Director IP address: 1.1.1.20
Vstack Mode: Basic
Vstack default management vlan: 1
Vstack start-up management vlan: 1
Vstack management Vlans: none
Vstack Config file: bootflash:default_configuration.txt
Vstack Image file: bootflash:c2960c405-universalk9-tar.152-1.E2.tar
Join Window Details:
         Window: Open (default)
         Operation Mode: auto (default)
Vstack Backup Details:
         Mode: On (default)
         Repository: bootflash:/vstack (default)

 

On the client, I see the following during the auto install process:

00:01:32: AUTOINSTALL: Vlan1 is assigned 1.1.1.1
00:01:32: AUTOINSTALL: Obtain tftp server address (opt 150) 1.1.1.20
00:01:32: AUTOINSTALL: Obtain default router (opt 3) 1.1.1.20

[OK - 90 bytes]

[Connection to 1.1.1.20 closed by foreign host]

I want to see your entire

I want to see your entire SmartInstall config.  Post your "sh version" as well.  

Loading client_cfg.txt from 1.1.1.20 (via Vlan1): !

Can you please confirm that the 2960CG configuration template is NOT "client_cfg.txt".

 

Can I also ask if you can provide the output to the command "sh vstack status"?
