Sniff a packet more than 1500 bytes on a switch

Is it possible? If yes, could you suggest a software and the settings?

Thanks,

Prakash

You need Jumbo Frame support in the switch and on the workstation running the sniffing utility.

Thanks Edison....

The mtu is already higher than 1500...and I am using wireshark...but still do not get any larger packet in the sniffer...

If your devices (switches and workstation NIC) support Jumbo frames *and* they are enabled, then I don't know what else to tell you.

Perhaps asking in the wireshark forum should be the next step.
