SNMP Counters Help

Hi

I'm not too great with snmp, but is there a way for me to identify which type of snmp counters I'm using on my 3750G switch e.g is it 32-bit or 64-bit?

Thanks

Dan

Re: SNMP Counters Help

Dan-

If I understand the following doc correctly, the 3750G only uses 64-bit counters.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk648/tk362/technologies_q_and_a_item09186a00800b69ac.shtml

Hope that helps.

Re: SNMP Counters Help

Hi

Thanks for the reply. I read this doc before but I understood it to say that 32-bit and 64-bit are supported but we need to change the type used. Am I wrong on this?

Cheers

Dan

Re: SNMP Counters Help

For interfaces that operate at 650,000,000 bits/second or faster, 64-bit packet and octet counters must be used.

A 3750G is 10/100/1000 so it must use 64-bit counters (that's how I read it).
