SNMP Doubts

Hi all,

I have several doubts about snmp.

1º)SNMP needs routing to work, if the destination computer for the traps is in a diferent network of the router/switch.

2º)What is the interface that uses snmp to send the traps? It uses the interface of the default gateway=?

Hi,

It will use the next hop interface as the source, or you can configure snmp to use specific interface 'snmp-server source-interface traps loopback0'.
