SNMP-error

Hello

For some unknown reason our NMS cannot validate SNMP string configured on catalyst switch 4507. SNMP version is 2c

snmp-server community ciscoRO RO

snmp-server community ciscoRW RW

snmp-server enable traps snmp authentication linkdown linkup coldstart warmstart

snmp-server enable traps entity

snmp-server enable traps envmon fan shutdown supply temperature status

snmp-server enable traps config

snmp-server enable traps hsrp

snmp-server enable traps syslog

There is Reachability between NMS server and switch but snmp string is not validating.

Try adding this command and test again

 snmp-server host host

I check with command

snmp-server host 192.168.100.10   

not validating still ; couple of options available on doing ?

snmp-server host 192.168.100.10 ?

  WORD     SNMPv1/v2c community string or SNMPv3 user name

  informs  Send Inform messages to this host

  traps    Send Trap messages to this host

  version  SNMP version to use for notification messages

  vrf      VPN Routing instance for this host
