Re: snmp issue after switch module replace

Hello Michael,

if you swapped changed positions of linecards snmp ifindexes of ports have changed.

the solarwinds has gone in troubles for this reason.

in a case like this not even snmp ifindex-persist can help (useful to keep same ifindex after reload)

I think only way in a case like this is to have the tool to discover the device again as you did.

Hope to help

Re: snmp issue after switch module replace

when i run the discovery on the 4506, it doesn't report any switch ports.

Re: snmp issue after switch module replace

do a manual snmpwalk and find out what it returns.

Solarwinds may have issues.
