Solved: Re: Some VLANs don’t on some switches

We have over 30 Cisco 3560 switches and over 10 VLANs on our network. In our example, VLAN 10 on switch IP 10.0.20.150 works fine and VLAN 10 on switch IP 10.0.20.24 doesn’t work. The below are both switches show vlan (both switches’ configuration can be found this link: http://chicagotech.net/netforums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=15731&sid=0e44d3b34ce5d36e297210a55ac6f64d). I can’t tell what causes the problem and how to fix it. Hi, in the first switch there is not vlan 10 in the local database.

 I am not Cisco engineer and not sure hwo to add the vlan 10 to the local database. could you please give more details?

In Switch 10.0.20 24, int g0/36 is configured for VAN 10

interface GigabitEthernet0/36

switchport access vlan 10

switchport mode access

flowcontrol receive desired

spanning-tree portfast

spanning-tree bpduguard enable

Geez ... the formating needs some work. I can't make heads or tails with this.

VLAN 10 on switch IP 10.0.20.24 doesn’t work.

On this switch, can you post the output to the command "sh int vlan 10"?

Hi, in the first switch there is not vlan 10 in the local database.

1. On both working and no working switch; sh int vlan 10 get the same error

Switch#sh int vlan 10 ^ % Invalid input detected at '^' marker.
