sp rommon boot variable settings

Dear Pros,

I need your help on the below issues asap.

I am in 6509 SPrommon mode.

in entering set cmd i can see 3 items as

boot=

BOOT=

BOOTLDR=

I entred

BOOT=slot0:c6sup11-jsv-mz.121-26.E3

BOOTLDR=slot0:c6msfc-boot-mz.121-26.E3.bin

then reset

I am getting error message as below

can not .... boot bootflash:

I want to remove the word boot from the set output.

How can i do that?

I want to boot using BOOT=cmd

you cannot remove the bootldr from bootflash: if you are using a sup1 and msfc1.

(the bootldr must reside on the bootflash: if you use the sup1/msfc1)

also, if one of the variables is empty, it will show as BOOT= for example.

Now the sup boot normal.

All the 4 LEDS are green. (status, system,active,pwr mgmt) but whenever i inserted the second standby sup1A to the slot 2 of the chassis it boot the image and finally it showing the below console message goes to "router-sdby> mode.

press return to get started

00:01:29: %sys-stdby-5-restart:system restarted- -

00:01:29:%snmp-stdby-5-coldstart:snmp agent on host router is undergoing a cold start

Please what could be the workaround to solve the problem.

Please help me since it is very urgent issue to resolve to one of my corporate customer.

Can you attach log which has the messages.

Are you seeing only two messages ?

Hi Swamy,

In rommon mode, try

roomon1>BOOT:=sup-slot0:

rommon2> sync

rommon3>boot

Let us know how it goes.
