span configuration on switch 4507 help

i have IDS sensor connected to port 6/4 on the BB swich (4507)and i want the sensor to monitor all the ports on the BB. I found that i must determine the source span ports and destination span port and configure the monitor session command on the BB. Is it possible to put all the source span ports in one monitor session or i must create more than one session for the monitored ports on the BB?????????

please send me the correct configuration for the monitor session command.

please find the attached file.

waiting your replies

best regards

Re: span configuration on switch 4507 help

Hi

Hope i have understood correctly.

You could monitor the vlans as the source rather than individual ports depending on how many ports there are. You can have multiple source ports in one session. Attached is a link to configuring SPAN for the 4500 with your IOS version.
