I need to make an layer 2 extension of network between two sites, then, would I like to know the maximum number of hops of spanning-tree and if these hops are counted from root bridge?

Based on the documentation http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/473/122.html, your diameter is greater than 7.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Bill.

Hi Friend,

All default spanning tree specifications are designed with a domain size(hops) of 7.

HTH, rate if it does

Hi,

It follows the attached network diagram.

I am extending one vlan for three sites, then, the hops should be added from root bridge or end-the-end?

You would be able to me send a link that speaks about domain size (hops) spanning tree.

Thanks,

Fabiano
