Spanning tree is invalid

HI,all

Two switches ,respectively,4506 with module 4306 of 6 GBIC cards and 2960-48 with two SFP interfaces,are connected to respective optical interface (two GBICs on 4306 and SFP interface on 2960) using dual Fiber.BUT the two switches all became root,spanning tree is invalid.why?

What mode of spanning tree are you running on each switch and how many Vlans on each switch
