I just received 30 SRW2016 switches. I'm required by DoD to have a banner or MOTD stating it's a government system, etc, before login. After searching through the provided documentation and online, I cannot find any reference to placing a banner on this switch. Is it possible?
I do not have much familiarity with this switch and can not speak authoritatively about it. But I have examined the documentation about the switch and I do not believe that this switch has the ability to generate a banner message before login. I believe that the lack of banner message capability (as well as the lack of controls for inactivity, etc) reflect the development of this switch as a "business class" product and not an "enterprise" product which would include a more complete set of management features.
