static ARP

i config static ARP on switch , when host would like to solve the mac address if ip address match , the switch will return the mac-address instead of the destination host right ?

Can you confirm if you did this on l2 switch or l3 switch and the 2 hosts are in same vlan or different?

it's layer 2 switch and two hosts are the same vlan

but if two hosts are different vlan, how about the result of resolution

If hosts are in two different vlans, then the packets are sent to the default gateway.

The host will ARP for the gateway ip address and the gateway responds back with the mac address
