Static or Dynamic Mac Address?

Hi

I am very very confused with few technologies in switching...

We configured the switch port as follow:

switchport access vlan 30

switchport mode access

switchport voice vlan 70

switchport port-security maximum 3

switchport port-security

switchport port-security aging time 2

switchport port-security violation restrict

switchport port-security aging type inactivity

srr-queue bandwidth share 10 10 60 20

srr-queue bandwidth shape 10 0 0 0

mls qos trust device cisco-phone

mls qos trust cos

no snmp trap link-status

auto qos voip cisco-phone

spanning-tree portfast

-----------------------------------------

When I run the show mac address-table on port, it showed as follow:

Vlan Mac Address Type Ports

---- ----------- -------- -----

30 0017.0845.ccba STATIC Fa0/3

70 001a.a162.836c STATIC Fa0/3

Total Mac Addresses for this criterion: 2

By right, it should be shown as dynamic but most of the switch port shown as static.

Make the situation worse, we have upgraded the ios and new ios shown the mac address as dynamic(which is correct) but 3 mac address entry.

Can someone advice why it is behaving like that in different ios?

Thank you.

Best Regards

Joe
