Just like to say thanks to everybody who's helped me up until now...

Got this 6509 that i'm working on up and running (after much configuring ans swapping around of MSFC borads, etc). Now the problem is the following:

Supervisor image synchronization process will start in 10 seconds

2007 Nov 25 23:56:27 %SYS-5-MOD_OK:Module 1 is online

2007 Nov 25 23:56:28 %SYS-1-MOD_SEQMISMATCH:Bus asic sequence mismatch occurred

on module 1 (asic=1, srcidx=0x0, seq=0)

Minor hardware problem in Module # 15

Use 'show test 15' to see results of tests.

2007 Nov 25 23:56:34 %SYS-3-MOD_MINORFAIL:Minor problem in module 15

2007 Nov 25 23:56:35 %SYS-5-PORT_SSUPOK:Ports on standby supervisor (module 2) a

re up

2007 Nov 25 23:56:36 %SYS-5-MOD_OK:Module 15 is online

2007 Nov 25 23:56:37 %SYS-5-SUP_IMGSYNCSTART:Active supervisor is synchronizing

the NMP image

2007 Nov 25 23:56:37 %SYS-5-SUP_IMGSYNCFINISH:Active supervisor has synchronized

the NMP image

Minor hardware problem in Module # 16

Use 'show test 16' to see results of tests.

2007 Nov 25 23:56:41 %SYS-3-MOD_MINORFAIL:Minor problem in module 16

2007 Nov 25 23:56:43 %SYS-5-MOD_OK:Module 16 is online

so when i enter the sh test 15 (or 16 for that matter) i get

Console> (enable) sh test 16

Diagnostic mode: minimal (mode at next reset: minimal)

Module 16 : 1-port Multilayer Switch Feature Card

Line Card Status for Module 16 : PASS

Port Status :

Ports 1

--------

.

Line Card Diag Status for Module 16 (. = Pass, F = Fail, N = N/A)

Loopback Status [Reported by Module 1] :

Ports 1

--------

F

F? Fail? Nooooo.

Is this something common or should this be rectified before being sent out? Any feedback would be helpful. Also if it should be rectified how? (That's just for those funny folk out there who say it should be rectified without any input :)

Set the diagnostic bootup level to complete and reload the box , if you continue to see failures then it is a hardware issue and a TAC case should be opened .

Is it costly to open a TAC case? (Really ahat i want to say is is it free?)
