storm control

question about storm control and the confiuration options which are;

Switch(config-if)#storm-control broadcast level ?

<0.00 - 100.00> Enter rising threshold

bps Enter suppression level in bits per second

pps Enter suppression level in packets per second

So it can be either a percentage or in pps.

If you set it as pps, is this pps coming into the inteface?

So if you do a show interface fa0/1 command does the pps from storm control refer to the 5 minute input rate??

thanks

Re: storm control

pps - packets per second

Yes, Its packets coming into interface.

It Specify the rising and falling suppression levels as a rate in packets per second at which traffic is received on the port.
