STP cost of 20G/40G in RSTP

Dear all,

Any one know what is the STP cost of 20G link and 40G link in RSTP. As I know, If 10G link, the RSTP cost is 2000

STP cost for 10G is not 2000 it is 2 only

Anything above 10G, cost is 1.

I want to ask the RSTP cost (802.1w), not PVST cost (802.1D). If pvst cost, your answer is correct.

Hi,

Port cost doesn't get changed whether it is PVST or RSTP or MST.

Difference is on modes and spanning tree instances.

New revised cost chart for any of the STP flavour (STP, PVST+, RSTP, MST) is as below:

Speed of Ethernet                Revised IEEE Cost

10 Mbps                                                        100

100 Mbps                          19

1 Gbps                               4

10 Gbps                             2

Anything above 10G                     1
