subnetting question

ip is 8.1.4.5

mask is 255.255.0.0

can anyone explain me what will be valid

subnet numbers and host numbers.

Network address -- 8.1.0.0

Number of hosts = 2^16 - 2

Hi Mahesh ,

valid subnets are 8.1.0.0 to 8.1.255.0 means 256.

Host address Range : 8.1.0.1 - 8.1.255.254.
