I have 6506-E with redundant WS-SUP720's. Both SUP720's have a PCMCIA Flash Card. I recently upgraded the CatOS and changed the config to boot from the PCMCIA (disk0:) rather than bootflash:. The SUP720's synchronized as expected and the Active Supervisor card's BOOT variable is = disk0:Cat6000-sup720..... The problem is the Standby supervisor's BOOT variable = bootflash:BTSYNC_Cat6000-sup720...... Why is the synchronization not setting the Standby supervisor to boot from disk0:? Any insight is appreciated.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
