we're implementing MQC on Cat4500 SUP7L-E with service policy input and output (marking, classification, traffic shaping with BW limitation) on Gigabit ports towards users.
On the switch ports the service-policy output is working fine limiting the traffic BW correctly for the class DATA and the other, but the service-policy input is not working since it does not limit the traffic BW...below is a generic sample of config implemented.
Am I missing something sicne it should be supported on this platform both in input and output?
police 30m conform-action transmit exceed-action drop
interface g X/Y
service-policy input POLICY-TRAFFIC-IN
If I check the ACL DATA_IN for the service-policy input I don't see traffic matching...but if i check the ACL DATA_OUT (which is configured as opposite) I see traffic that has matched and it works limiting the bandwidth for DATA to 30m...this is not happening for the input

We have 3 identical switches configured by someone else and would like to claim some of the Gigabit ports(G1/G2/G3/G4) for use on servers. When we try to change the wiring and configuration, we run in to connectivity issues. Attached is a des...
