SW to SW can ping, PC to SW unable to ping

Hi,

I Have 5 switch interconnet.i can ping between sw.However the 3rd switch cant ping from PC,only after certain times,i can ping the sw.

If I exit continues ping to the SW,i will not able to ping back the switch, only after few minutes,i can ping the switch.

the 5th Switch has trunk module error..Is it this problem related with spanning tree?

I have check the VTP status, all share the same.

Thanks

SW to SW can ping, PC to SW unable to ping

Hi Haikal,

You are having trouble with on SW3? Remaining switches pings fine continously? This could be spanning tree issue since your able to ping the switch after some times. Please verify there is no loop connection on the network. Also please check the logs on all switch which should be able to give some clue with regards to your issue.

Hope that helps.
