Switch ports module

                   HI

10/100/1000BaseTX, what it means exactly, I hope it will support 10 or 100 or 1000 Mbps as per our requirement. or there any specific things can be explained about this.

Do we get the same in router ports also or not.

Thanks in advance

Switch ports module

10/100/1000 is short for open standard IEEE 802.3 10BASE-T, 802.3u 100BASE-TX and 802.3ab 1000BASE-T.

Cisco's 'GLC-T' is a very commonly used 10/100/1000 SFP: -

Switch ports module

10/100/1000BaseTx means the interface is a "triple speed" and can support either 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps and 1000 Mbps.

Note that this is only valid for copper ethernet and does not apply to fibre optic link.

Switch ports module

Hi Leo,

Thanks for the reply.

These modules will be availvable only for Switches or even for routers do we get ?

It does auto negotiation by default for speed and duplex or we need to define under port.
