hello
we got 20 access switches 2960 and 1 core 4500 catalyst series. how to restrict connecting small switches to user access port on Access switches by users. Is there a way to identify from switch console if a printer is connected to access port.
cheers

No.

Enable BPDU Guard on the access ports.

Hello
You should also think about layer1 devices such as hubs:
int range fa / gig x/x -xxx
switchport host
spanning-tree bpduguard enable
switchport port-security aging type inactivity
switchport port-security violation restrict/shutdown
switchport port-security maximum 3
udld port aggressive
spanning-tree guard loop
exit
errdisable recovery cause psecure-violation
errdisable recovery cause udld
errdisable recovery cause link-flap
errdisable recovery cause loopback
