Hi,
we are looking into replacing an old Cisco 2950 Switch by a new model that should support NetFlow and the ability to use Fast Ethernet Single Mode SFPs (GLC-FE-100LX). Is there a model offered by Cisco that can be used with this configuration? At first I thought a WS-C3560X-24T-S with the C3KX-SM-10G Service Module could work but unfortunately it seems that the service module only supports GbE SFPs.
If not, could we use a router instead and use it as switch only? Actually the only thing we want achive is to use aquire netflow statistics for our uplink port to the Internet.
Thanks
Michael

The 2960-X supports sampled NetFlow and lists single mode fiber support on this page:

Thank you, but the 2960-X only seems to support the GLC-GE-100FX which is multi mode fiber:
We also need full NetFlow since we need to account traffic, as to my understanding sampled NetFlow cannot be used for that since not everything is captured.

Hi,
Cisco 3750 supports GLC-GE-100FX but to my knowledge netflow is not supported. Would suggest to use Cisco-4500 which would meet your requirements.

Hi Sathvik,
thank you, I think the Cisco 4500 is too expensive for us. Do you know if it is possible to somehow throttle a GbE SFP to 100mbps? We are currently using a dark fibre to our ISP where the fibre teminates on a 100mbps SX SFP. In our buliding we use a media converter that converts from fibre to copper. We now don't want to use the media converter anymore and therefore need a switch that allows us to connect the fibre directly, which as to my understanding is only possible if we use a 100mbps SX SFP as well. Unfortunately most switches don't seem to support 100mbps SX SFPs and NetFlow together.
Thanks
Michael
