Switching issue

Hi,

I am trying to configure FWSM on the 6500. The connection from the service provider via layer 2 trunk on the 3750. VLAN 3692 for the internet and there is layer 3 interface on the 3750 like 2.2.2.65 255.255.255.252. I did connect from the 3750 switch to one of the port and configured as switchport access vlan 40 which is my outside vlan interface. I can not communicate anything on the 3750 or outside. Please anybody can help on this.

Hello Mohammed,

have you defined the vlan 40 in the firewall vlan-group ?

see

firewall module 2 vlan-group 21,22

firewall vlan-group 21 10,68,75,90-93,100,401,420,450,510,552,600,651,692,901

inside the context vlan 100 is the outside

the above commands instructs on what vlans are passed on the internal trunk ports to and from the fwsm and the chassis backplane
