If you mean, how do you calculate backplane capacity to support all ports at full data rate, it's generally 2x sum of port bandwidths. However, for chassis switches, you might need consider other attributes. For instance, the 720 Gbps fabric supports eighteen 20 Gbps channels. On a 6509 all slots have dual channels, on a 6513 slots 1-8 have one channel, slots 9-13 dual channels.
