Switchover between Lease Line & ISDN

Hi,

I have DC & DR setup. In DC we have LL & in DR we have ISDN. I want if LL in DC fails, IDSN in DR must gets activated. Can this be achieved?? If so please suggest..

DC & DR is connected by Fiber.

Re: Switchover between Lease Line & ISDN

Hello Partha,

it is possible to do this even if the routers involved are different using the dialer watch feature.

With this feature the backup router monitors the state of selected routes in the routing table when the routes vanish the router calls over ISDN

see

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk801/tk133/technologies_tech_note09186a008009457d.shtml

the two routers on DR site share a lan segment with a routing protocol for the exchange of routes: RIP, EIGRP or OSPF can be used.

Hope to help

Re: Switchover between Lease Line & ISDN

Thanks for your prompt answer Giuseppe.

I have DC & DR. Lease Line goes into DC Router where as ISDN goes into DR.

Whether using " Dialer Watch Feature" it's possible to achive??
