To Alls,

I wonder if we have to add the additional configurartion for the following situation. when we have a spare router, and I can but no luck to us.

LAN side.

interface x/x

switchport

switchport mode trunk

switchport trunk native vlan 10

- snip-

WAN router.

interface x/x

  no shutdown

interface x/x.xxx

encapsulation dot1Q 10 native

In this case, Do we have add 'native' option right behind ' encapsulation dot1Q ' as above?

otherwise, the connection from vlan 10 is not reachable each other?

Hi,

Your configuration is correct, when the frame is sent out of the trunk port from the switch the tag is removed as it is a native vlan thus on the rotuer your subinterface should have config.

encapsulation dot1Q 10 native

and router can identify that the frames that arrived untagged on the interface belongs to vlan 10.
