Hi every body.
Is there a way to stop a device from sending a particular type of syslog message?
If the answer is yes, please help me out with this particular one:14276: Aug 12 01:51:45.177: %SW_MATM-4-MACFLAP_NOTIF: Host 00a0.f856.f438 in vlan 197 is flapping between port Fa4/0/1 and port Fa4/0/5.
I just one want to stop the e-mails from coming until I find a solution to the real issue.
Thanks a bunch.

Hi Hipolito,
One solution could be to change the logging level on the device:
conf t
logging trap error
This will send notifications to the syslog server on the following only:
errors - level 3
critical - level 2
alarm - level 1
emergency - level 0
Don't forget to reestablish the logging level after you have corrected the problem.
Cheers:
Istvan
