Hello Jack,

have you tried to reload the switch?

CAM table is a core function of lan switch so you need to understand if device is usable or not.

Hope to help

Giuseppe

Hi Giuseppe,

Yes, during that time i have no choice i can't even capture the show tech during that time as the switch is having intermittent i was forced to reboot this switch, then problem resolve , those downstream switches are up again .

but, now management need to know what is the root cause ? sigh ~~~ anyone know what is about ?

Hello Jack,

this is likely a software bug because it speaks of handlers.

do a search in the bug toolkit or post the version of your IOS image.

I would use TCAM as search keyword but I see I get no results

Hope to help

Giuseppe

Hi Giuseppe,

yes, but the bugs have been fixed by the newer version. my switch version is 12.2(35)SE5. shouldn't be impacted .
