Re: tcp intercept

TCP intercept is a function that protects the router from syn attacks or half-open connections. There is an option of providing the thresholds min value & max value along with what action to take whn threshold exceeds.

Hi There

There is some good information on the TCP intercept function on the following sites

Cisco Doc CD Site: http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios112/intercpt.htm#xtocid102795

Sample chapter taken from the Cisco Press book "Cisco Router Firewall Security": http://www.ciscopress.com/articles/article.asp?p=345618&seqNum=3
