I have a 4510R that I want to Team 2 Ports to provide an uplink to a 2960G Switch, I've Configured as below:
4500
-----
int port-channel 54
sw mode trunk
2960G
------
int giga0/48
channel-group 54 mode on
sw mode trunk
no shut
However, I don't ever see the NICs using 2Gb of Bandwidth.
Any solutions to this issue ?

You need channels on both sides.
So, on the 4500 you need to add two interfaces to channel 54 (channel-group 54 mode on) and do the same thing on the 2960G.
Also, configure port-channel 54 on the 2960G with the trunk info, you will have to do same on individual interfaces on 4500.

First: Is the etherchannel formed? Output of "sh etherchannel summary"
Second: If its formed, then try "sh etherchannel load-balance".
