Temperature alarm on Nexus 7010 console “%PLATFORM-2-MOD_TEMPO
Your observation is correct I agree. But we have sufficient space around the switch. And more over if it is sucking hot air which is coming from other devices why it is not effecting other xbar modules. And in older logs I found that xbar-5 also giving the same minor temperature alarm and later it automatically recovered. No idea how it got recovered. Can you explain it and please share if you have any other suggestion which may hit my question.
I was getting this alert on our Nexus 7010 as shown below. I cleaned the filter on the front of the Nexus which was very dusty and dirty. After that I never received another temperature alert. This alert was coming up about every 10 to 15 minutes.
You will want to ensure that there is nothing blocking the intake or exhaust vent of the switch. Also look at the front intake fan to see if there is dust, or some other material that has accumulated that could be impeding air intake. Also verify if there is a device that is exhausting hot air towards the intake of the switch.
