I Have a 4506E Chassie with A SUP II-Plus , and a GE Module ws-x4506-gb-t , The Module as you know have an SFP and Copper for each port , and as I read the Switch can to work by only one one of the two types ,

The Problem was that the ws-x4506-gb-t Module ports didn't work totaly, I didn't add any configurations to the Module Interfaces, and I don't know if there are needed configuration or not for the Module ports.

Please advice

Regards

Hello Ahmed,

please post sh module output first thing is to see if the module is recognized and enabled.

You may need on each port to decide what physical layer you want to use

on othe platforms this is done with

int gx/y

media-type rj45|gbic

the default can be rj45

Hope to help

Giuseppe
