Throttle speed on 2950

I'm hoping this is very simple. I want to simulate a 128K speed network connection for two XP PCs I have connected to a Cisco 2950 switch. The two PCs can communicate at 100Mbps, but I want their connection with the rest of the network to be limited to 128K. The 2950 is uplinked to a central Procurve switch.

Can this be done?

Thanks.

Re: Throttle speed on 2950

have a look at this QOS guide for 2950... try configuring policers on the switch port to shape the bandwidth..

i have not tested this, but seems to work with the configs given. can u?

Re: Throttle speed on 2950

Thank you Raj,

There seems to me a limit of 1Mbps with policing. Do you know if there is any way to get it down to 128K?

Re: Throttle speed on 2950

I dont think so.... it is not like ppp links where the bandwidth is controlled elsewhere... tough to do !!1
