Throttle traffic on a switch port

HI, Looking for the simplest way to control traffic on a switch port. Using a 6513 with a sup720 running hybrid. I am using a metro ethernet service from AT&T, that connects to a 1000 base GBIC. They are telling me I have to throttle down to 100mb, cause they are dropping anything above that. Looking for the simplest and cleanest way to accomplish this.

thanks

Re: Throttle traffic on a switch port

Hi David,

Please use QOS policers on your Sup720 to rate limiting the traffic on your link.

Please find the link below to understand the QOS policer, way it works and the configuration for the same.

HTH, Please rate if it does.
