Throughput issue

Hi ,

The below is output of cisco 3845 router.As per cisco the capacity of process switching for this router is 17MB & fast switching is 256 MB.But when i checked the output of the router , It seems to be exceeding.Kindly clarify me whther the load is more for this router,

Performance specs often are for minimal size packets.  More "normal" size packets generally allow more throughput.

So, actual production input can be higher, although it can be lower too as additional service features impact CPU and you usually need to allow for duplex traffic.
