Re: TOPOLOGY MSTP

No,

Actually the opposite, Interasys for some and Aallied for other so you can split the traffic across several links,

Normally, from your diagram, would expect root and secondary root to be your two switches, INTRASYS and ALLIED, in the center of your diagram, at they appear to be the center of your topology.

Re: TOPOLOGY MSTP

thank you very much

according to u , does this upgrade drawing seams to be a good topology ?

TOPOLOGY MSTP

It depends on the goal of the topology. All switches belong to same organization? If you create different regions you will have less links forwarding.

Re: TOPOLOGY MSTP

Hello,

So you will only have 4 vlans so if running RSPT you will have only 4 instances which does not look bad at all nor memory intensive.

Now if you are lloking to practice or learn about MST just set Interasys as the primary root Switch for some vlans and Allied for others in order to distribute traffic as much as possible.

Re: TOPOLOGY MSTP

Oki

for instance :

i use AaLLIED as root bridge for  vlan 110 and vlan 1 MST 'instances

and the INTERASYS for 22,25 MST instances ?
