TOR - Top Of Racks Switches

Hi, Guys.

I have on my datacenter a Cisco Catalyst 4500, which we use as Core Swtches on some racks.

Now Im looking for some switches to use as TOR - Top Of Rack with 10Gbps, on other racks.

Any suggestions on which models can be suitable for my situation?

Nexus switches are designed for data center including TOR models.

The earlier 49xx series also work pretty well as TOR models.

Kindly, can you tell me if I keep the Cisco 4500 Series (Cisco cat4500e) switches as Core, is it possible to use Nexus Switches as TOR and interconnecting the racks with fiber?

Are they compatible?

If not, kindly, what would be the best solution for TOR Switches?

Sure, you can keep the 4500 as a core.  Just be careful about over subscription, as data center devices often are "busier" than user edge devices.

Yes, you should be able to interconnect with fiber if devices have compatible fiber ports.
