We need help in tracing the port a certain MAC on our switch is using. it is causing an ip conflict on one of our servers and we need to find out which workstation is causing this problem.

There are a couple of ways to check for a mac address. They are mostly dependant upon the type of switch(s) you have in your network. If running CatOS you can try the TRACEROUTE MAC command (URL: http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/lan/cat6000/122sx/cmdref/u1.htm#wp1066736 )...
Or try the SHOW CAM DYNAMIC command. from there you can trace from switch to switch to find the culprit of your problems. If the mac address comes from a trunk port then you need to go to the next hop switch and do the same command until you find the switch that is housing the mac that you want... Good Luck....
